FBN The General Assembly of FBN International elected a new president of the organisation
On June 10, 2024, within the framework of the Annual Meeting of the FBN Community in Barcelona (Spain), the General Assembly of FBN International was held.
FBN Bulgaria was represented by its president Lawyer Stefan Gugushev, who took part in the meeting. The agenda included an activity report and a vote on the organisation's financial statements for 2023, as well as the admission of a new member - IEF Maroc (Institut de l'Entreprise Familiale du Maroc) - the first national organisation on the African continent to become part of the Family Business Network.
Undisputed highlight of the event was the election of a new Chairman of the Board - Alfonso Libano Durella accepted the baton from Farad Forbes, who is retiring after two full terms.
The General Assembly also elected new members of the Board and the Nominations Committee.
In the program of the Annual International FBN Meeting, participants were introduced to issues related to the current state of the organisation, the development of the Management Review project and the work of the project committee. The working session on "Ownership" with three distinguished speakers - Henrich Lichtenstein (IESE Business School), Bridget Kustin (University of Oxford, Said Business School) and Farad Forbes (FBN International) focused on questions regarding the advantages and responsibilities of family-owned businesses. A workshop on the topic was held the following day.
